Known as GRANDPA'S CAR. Grandpa worked for GMH at Woodville for 39 years. The FC, which he purchased new from United Motors was his last vehicle. It has been to every Capital city of Australia (except Darwin). Lay back Seat conversion was installed. They slept in the car. When only 2 years old, Grandpa forgot to apply the handbrake and the FC became the first GMH submarine. (submerged up to the hood lining in the River Murray). The local dealer spent 3 months drying it out. In 1976, I repainted the vehicle using the orginal colour, with the last of Nitrocellulose Laquer available.
